Cooperation Meadville is a workforce and economic development initiative that provides training, education, and technical assistance to local residents, civic leaders, and businesses in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The goal of the program is to strengthen Meadville’s local economy by building leadership and community capacity for cooperative development and community wealth building activities.
In 2022 Common Roots received a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission, and in collaboration with KDC, kicked off the initiative.
On February 15th, 2025, The Cooperation Meadville Summit gave local cooperatives the opportunity to come together, present on the work already taking place, and plan for the future of Meadville. Stay tuned to see what is next in store for Cooperation Meadville!
